WISTHEM believes in making practical and positive strides toward sustainable development. Our Company accomplishes this through strong partnerships, economically viable investments, environmentally sound practises, and socially responsible actions.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and policies are focused in five key areas:

• Corporate Governance
• Economics
• Labour
• Environment
• Social Responsibility

It is our goal to ensure that our partners also implement similar practises, using the following methods:

• The implementation of corporate governance practises

• The monitoring of environmental impacts

• The preservation of responsible, ethical business conduct

• The maintenance of safe work environments for all employees

• The implementation of management systems based on CSR initiatives

• The continuous assessment of safety and security risks, and the establishment thereof in management systems and procedures

Our CSR strategy and policies are guided by externally developed charters and principles, including but not limited to:

• The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)
• The Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights
• The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI)
